Meeting the New GDPR Requirements

Jigsaw Security and all products and services meet the new GDPR compliance metrics. Some additional information is being provided below for your information and reference. With any recommendations it is always important to understand how controls and compliance is being achieved.

What is the GDPR?

On May 25th, 2018, a new European Union privacy regulation - known as the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) - will come into effect. The aim is to protect the personal data of all EU citizens. Whatever the location of your business, if you own a website with EU visitors, or if your marketing campaigns target EU citizens, these changes will affect you.

What Tools will Jigsaw Security Use to maintain compliance with this rule?

Jigsaw Security has enabled a feature to handle all data request from EU based customers and visitors. Our tools allow us to either provide access or permanently delete EU based customers data when they request this action. Our tools will be available for use by Jigsaw employees on 25th May, 2018. The contact for this operation will be maintained as the current FSO of Jigsaw Security. For more information or instructions please contact your Jigsaw Security FSO directly via email or phone or call the SOC at 800-447-2150 Ext. 6.

How have we prepared for the GDPR as a website owner?

To meet the GDPR requirements, we have created a privacy policy, letting visitors know how your site processes their data - including information on cookies and other tracking technologies. We will also provide a legal basis on the 25th of May, 2018 for handling visitors data and request. In short end users will use our forms and code to explicitly opt in or opt out of our collection of website visitors.

Additional communication about Jigsaw Security compliance with the GDPR requirement may be posted in the future.
